She explained that one thing they needed in particular was large-sized diapers.

Christine asked if that was the only item and she sent a response to her indicating a number of other immediate needs.

Christine sent an email to her neighbors in Shadow Wood Preserve in San Carlos Park, asking for donations to cover those needs and had them placed in a plastic bin on her porch until June 20, when she planned to deliver the donated items to the shelter.

"It was like Christmas!" Christine explained. "Every time I went by my front door, there were items waiting for me."

She never saw who was making the donations. They just appeared on her front porch.

She mentioned the needs for the abuse center to Brian Raymond, owner of 24/7 Fitness, and he quickly volunteered to contribute. He put the request on Facebook and more diapers poured in from generous members.

Christine's daughter, Marin Asher, took up a collection at her company, ISGFL, and more diapers were purchased.

On June 20, instead of driving a car, Christine and Richard Reichow delivered a van full of items to the shelter. A lot of those items were brand new -diapers, pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, etc.

Christine would like to thank all those who took the time to shop for and bring the items to her house for delivery to ACT.
